Whitechurch Guides.

When : Monday 7.00 -8.30 p.m.

Where: Whitechurch National School,

We are looking forward to the term ahead and warmly welcome our new members from Brownies.

Last year we enjoyed a liong weekend in London's International Guide Centre, Pax Lodge. We joined a few hundred other Guides at Regional Camp in Larch Hill in May. Where to next? We hope to visit Northern Ireland in 2019.

For girls over 14, we meet with Rathfarnham and Zion Senior Branch on Friday evenings, venue to be confirmed. For more details contact any of the Guide Leaders.

Please ensure the girls bring a clearly named coat and outdoor shoes each week. For safety from distraction during activities any mobile devices should be turned off or at least on silent, or better still, be left at home. Bring a named bottle of water; any food should be consumed before arriving.

Thank you to parents for their ongoing support and to our Leaders, Doreen and Barbara, for giving up time for meetings, outings, overnights and programme planning. For more information or to volunteer, contact Ruth Hughes 087 2959245 or

Thank you to volunteer leaders -

For every step taken on a wet and rocky trail,
For every reminder note you didn’t forget to mail,

For every skinned knee you attended,
For every broken heart you mended,
For every burnt camping meal you ate,
For every late parent for whom you had to wait,
For every tearful disappointment you have heard,
For every time you could’ve ……..… but didn’t say a word!
For every ounce of laughter to a little child you brought,
For every midnight giggle your tired ears have caught,
For every tear you’ve shed as they’ve grown up through the years,
For every one of your Guides, now full of confidence, not fears,
For every song you’ve sung and every song you’ll sing,

Thank you Girl Guide leader, for everything.
